MELANNIE CHELTON
Owner/Level II Stylist
Melannie Chelton is the proud co-owner and Master Stylist at Hair Theory Salon. Her clients benefit from the extensive training and experience she gained while working in the beauty industry for 15 years.
Melannie has trained w Toni & Guy in New York, Aveda in London, Lanza, Swartzoph, Pravana, Paul Mitchell and Sunlights Balayage. Before coming to Hair Theory, she was a master stylist for other New Jersey hair salons, including La Jolie Salon and Spa in Princeton, NJ.
She specializes in hair coloring and cuts. Melannie also has experience with affirm relaxers and has trained to provide rica waxing to her clients as well. She loves working w fashion colors and at any time, may be modeling a new color on herself.
Melannie prides herself in her ability to connect with her clients and listen to their hair desires and concerns. She then customizes plans to transform them into their most beautiful selves! She's also committed to continually advancing her skills and product knowledge to offer her clients and latest trends and techniques.

JESSICA HARBAUGH

My name is Jessica Harbaugh. I currently live in Lawrenceville, NJ. I go to school at Lawrence High School. Some of my hobbies include dance, drawing, painting, and binge watching tv shows. In the future I hope to study forensics in college and become a forensic scientist. I enjoy having the opportunity to meet new people each day I’m in the salon. The environment at HTS is friendly and welcoming , which is why I feel like Hair Theory is a great place for me to start my working experience.
LISA BIDWELL
Owner/Level II Stylist
Lisa is Master Stylist and co-owner of Hair Theory Salon. She has been a professional hair stylist for the past seven years in New Jersey. After graduating from Paul Mitchell, she traveled to Las Vegas and New York furthering her education. Lisa has trained with Paul Mitchell, Lanza, Aveda, Sunlights Balayage and Schwartzkoptf. She is passionate about bringing creativity and artistry to her clientele, specializing in hair coloring and hair cutting. She has recently taken the next step in her career and opened Hair Theory.
She believes the importance of continuing education and strives to stay at the forefront of the industry with her knowledge of available new products and services in order to provide excellent service to her clients.
KRISTIN PERSICHILLI
Level II Stylist
It was during high school when Kristin’s passion took off, attending cosmetology at vocational school is where she learned her love of coloring, highlighting, and styling.
Kristin has trained with Aveda, Lanza, Keratin Complex, Living Proof, and Paul Mitchell. Before coming to Hair Theory, she was a master colorist/stylist for over 15 years at La Jolie salon and Spa in Princeton, NJ.
Kristin’s goal while you are in her chair is to take into consideration your personal style and lifestyle and what works best for you while keeping the integrity of your hair healthy.
She enjoys being a colorist/stylist because every day is different and she gets to create while making you feel your best.
KATIE PATTEN
Guest Advisor
Katie works the front desk part-time at Hair Theory Salon on Saturdays, but sometimes you can find her helping out on a weekday here and there. Just like Melannie, Lisa, and Kristin, she is a La Jolie alumni and truly enjoys working with such talented and lovely longtime colleagues. Now, she loves interacting with Hair Theory's clients in the same town (and same street!) where she grew up. Though she is not a salon professional herself, she truly admires the work of Hair Theory's accomplished stylists. When she is not at the salon she works full time at a family physician's office, and also part time as a pet sitter. Her absolute favorite things in life though, are her own two Border Collies, Max and Toki. She looks forward to greeting you at your next appointment!
